Vanilla Plus Server Hosting for 7 Days to Die
Vanilla Plus keeps the vanilla game and adds a plus version of tools, weapons, armor, vehicles and workstations next to the originals. It is for groups who like 7 Days to Die as it is and want more to work towards, without learning a whole new overhaul. Everything it adds lives on the server, so the people you play with connect with the unmodded game.
Why host Vanilla Plus with us
- One-click build: pick Vanilla Plus 1.7.1 in the panel and the server reinstalls on the Vanilla Plus build. There is nothing to upload.
- The game build it needs: Vanilla Plus 1.7.1 is built for game V3.2. Since V3.3.0 became Steam's default on 5 October 2026, your players pick
v3.2.0under Steam > Properties > Betas so their game matches the server; the mod itself still needs no download. - Light enough for Plan M: in our measurement an idle Vanilla Plus server uses 2.27 GB against 2.15 GB for plain 3.2 and boots in 41 seconds against 39, so it runs close to the plain game.
- Backups and recovery: daily backups you can restore from the panel, and a snapshot before every version change.
- Full control: live console, Telnet, the file manager and FTP on port 2121.
What Vanilla Plus adds
- A plus version of tools next to the vanilla ones.
- Plus weapons and armor.
- Plus vehicles.
- Plus workstations.
- The vanilla game underneath, unchanged: existing knowledge of 7 Days to Die still applies.
Before you switch a server to Vanilla Plus
- Do not stack it with PROJECT Z: next to PROJECT Z, Vanilla Plus loses 12 of its patches, so we offer the two as separate builds.
- Anti-cheat and crossplay are off on the Vanilla Plus build, so console players cannot join. Everyone plays on PC.
- Back up the world before changing builds, as with any version change.

Quick FAQ
Do players need to install Vanilla Plus?
No. Vanilla Plus runs on the server only, so players join with the normal game. Their game version still has to match the server, which means v3.2.0 in Steam's Betas tab now that Steam's default is 3.3.
Which plan do I need?
Plan M is enough for a small group. Choose L or XL for more players or bigger worlds; the one-click build is available on all three.
Does Vanilla Plus work on 7 Days to Die 3.3?
The build we host is Vanilla Plus 1.7.1 for game V3.2, the version the author published for the stable game at the time. Check back here for a 3.3 build.
Can console players join a Vanilla Plus server?
No. Anti-cheat and crossplay are off on the Vanilla Plus build, so it is PC only.
Can I use Vanilla Plus together with PROJECT Z?
No. Vanilla Plus loses 12 of its patches next to PROJECT Z, so pick one. Both are one-click builds on our servers.
