Basic navigation

Sign up. If you don’t already have an 7D2D.NET profile, we can help you create one. Go to Get Started Tab.

In the Get Started window, type the email address and password you want to use. Click the Sign Up button . Remember to prove that you are not a robot by clicking the reCAPTCHA tab. By signing up you agree to our Terms of Service.

Sign in. Go to Sign in Tab.

In the Sign in window, type the email address and password you have used before, during the Sign Up process. Click the Sign in button  to continue.

On the main page, you can see the table of contents:

My servers tab: it is your game servers list. You can have as many servers as you want.

In this section you are able to dive into game options (with  button) and manage your server (with  button).

Additionally:

In the Configure window, you can manage players, distributions, gameplay settings.

Manage window provides many server actions such as

To add a new game server, you basically click  tab. Now you are able to choose between four different plans:

Account: information collection about your account. You are able to do a few actions here.

  1. You can connect your Steam account. By typing your Steam ID and clicking button.
  2. You can change your password with the  button.
  3. You can delete your account with the  button.

Billing: your all payments info in one place.

Activity: it shows what you have already done with your server account.

Notifications: section created for you to be always up to date.

Help: with the Manual Guide to navigate easily.

Support: if it is needed, you can always ask for help from our chat bot or direct request on Discord/Twitter or contact form.

Starting & stopping server

To start/stop your server: Go to My Servers > Manage. Click the Start button to begin.

After that you will see server is booting:

Depending on the distribution, the process will take from a few seconds to a few minutes.

Stop button works only while the server is up and running.

Restart button restarts the server (start and then stop).

Kill button terminates the server process. If the server is starting, the kill button stops the process immediately. It is not recommended to use. ONLY when the system is stuck.

Connecting to the game

Once you want to know the Address:Port, go to My Servers > Details.

Here you will find the Address:Port needed in the game:

Configuring access

Setting server password

To set server password go to My servers > Configure. You can see the current password by clicking show password:

To change the password, scroll down and find Server Password.

Once you type your new password, scroll down again and click .

Every player who wants to join the game, has to know the Server Password.

Using Allowed/Banned players

Go to My Servers > Configure > Players

You can easily allow or ban any player who has the Steam account. Additionally, you can sign an admin as well. All possible with just a Steam ID.

It is highly recommended to connect your Steam Account with Steam ID. With this easy step you will be able to upload your Friends list from Steam and add/ban when needed.

If there is nobody added to the allowed players section, everyone who has the server password is able to join the game. Once you add at least 1 allowed player, your server becomes private.

Then, only people from the Allowed players list can join the game.

If you prefer to keep players away, you can easily ban them:

Granting Admin privileges

You can add admin and grant extra privileges.

Changing distribution (mod-packs)

Go to My Servers > Configure > Distributions & ModPacks

You can find here all different game versions with Accessories.

On the top there is a Stable (Basic) Version displayed.

Then you can see a few ModPacks.

Once you choose a version, you install by clicking .

WARNING: Installation process will delete your game progress.

Adding custom mods

Go to My Servers > Manage

Find Files & Mods

You can add a custom mod:

Simply type the mod name and choose a mod file (zip pack) from your computer.

EXAMPLE:

Go to https://7daystodiemods.com/ and choose a mod you like.

After you choose, on the page bottom, you will have Download button (might be with the Mod Version):

Click Download.

Choose a mod file (zip pack) from your computer:

And click Upload.

Depending on the file size, loading takes from a few seconds to a few minutes.

Once the loading process is done, you can see in the Mods list, your freshly added Halmod Expansion.

To delete a mod, simply click the Delete button.

Uploading game from/to local computer

Go to My Servers > Manage

Find Files & Mods

Once you are in File Management, you can also upload a save (world).

You can find a detailed manual “How to prepare an archive” by clicking the purple question mark.

How to prepare an archive:

I. Upload an existing local game - template e.g. Navezgane:

1. Go to %AppData%.

2. Go to: \Roaming\7DaysToDie.

I. Instruction for Navezgane and PREGEN*

2. From 7DaysToDie directory copy entire 7DaysToDie\Saves\Navezgane somewhere (to the Desktop).

3. Go to fresh copy of Navezgane and remove all saves beside the one you like to upload

4. Zip entire Navezgane directory

5. Configure the server to use Navezgane map.

6. Upload the zip file.

II. Upload an existing local game - RWG maps:

1. Create a new directory somewhere (on desktop) - name it 'upload'

2. From 7DaysToDie directory, copy entire 7DaysToDie\Saves\YOUR_WORLD_NAME to the upload

3. Go to upload/save_game/YOUR_WORLD_NAME and remove all saves beside the one you like to upload

4. Go to 7DaysToDie directory and find folder named: "GeneratedWorlds"

5. In GeneratedWorlds find your map and copy it to the "upload" 6. Pack your map and save (in the upload directory) to a single zip archive 7. Upload the zip file

8. Activate world

III. Uploading map from Nitrogen/KingGen/other generator

1. Go to GeneratedWorlds direcotory

2. zip directory with your map 3. Upload the zip file.

4. Activate the world.

Choose a world file (zip pack) from your computer:

And click Upload.

Depending on the file size, loading takes from a few seconds to a few minutes.

If you want to save the world file (make a copy), click the Download button:

Then you can upload the world file again and have multiple worlds in the list:

The freshly added world is not active yet. To activate it, click  and confirm

The server will be restarted with a new world version.

Configuring game

To find the Game Play Configuration, Go to My Servers > Configure

Click the purple question mark next to the parameter you want to change and see the details.

After every change you have to go at the bottom of the page and click . So the changes will be visible after the server restarts.

Using web-console

Go to My Servers > Manage

Scroll down.

Now, you can communicate with the web console by typing your commands:

Once you type your command, press the Send button  to execute the desired action.

Activating creative-mode

EXAMPLE

If you want to run your creative world and change parameters, you use command

creativemenu.

Type creativemenu > press the Send button

The outcome will be visible in the logs above the command line:

Troubleshooting

Finding logs

Go to My Servers > Manage

Scroll down.

If you are looking for an error, you will find it in the Console log:

Game Fixer

Go to My Servers > Manage

Find Backups/Fixer

Once you are in Backup/Fix Tool, you will see the display with a few options:

You can :

  1. Go back to one of your previous backups -

  1. Restore a player version (with certain level, items etc.) -

  1. Restore a region (a piece of the map) -

  1. Delete player version -

  1. Delete region version -

Tasks scheduler

Go to My Servers > Manage

Find Scheduler

In the Scheduled tasks panel, you are able to schedule 2 actions:

  1. Restart the server
  2. Execute a command

Choose a restart or command option, type a command to execute (only with COMMAND option), set up the time and press the Add button .

Once you add a scheduled task, it will be visible at the top of the page:

To remove a scheduled task, simply click Remove Task:

Networking problems

If you have networking problems,

Go to My Servers > Configure

Scroll down and find Server Disabled Network Protocols:

Change from SteamNetworking to LiteNetLib, scroll down and click  to restart the server and see if the networking problem has been solved.

If not, there is one more action you can take:

Scroll down and find EAC Enabled parameter:

Uncheck the box, make sure EAC is OFF, scroll down and click  to restart the server and see if the networking problem has been solved.

Billing & Payments

Browsing payments history

To find your payments history,

Go to Main Dashboard and click Billing:

Once you are in Billing window, you will see details of your payments history:

Upgrading plan

If you wish to upgrade your plan,

Go to My Servers and you will find Upgrade Plan button

Once you are in Subscription upgrade window, you will see:

At the bottom of the page, you will be able to choose an upgrade:

Once you choose a new plan, simply press the Upgrade button.
